  • MAVES began its work as an environmental charity in 2015.  By 2018 we had grown to the size requiring registration with the Charity Commission.  We did so under the name Arun Countryside Trust CIO to allow a wider long term remit at larger scale with Gift Aid eligibility, supporting the Arun countryside's cultural heritage alongside its natural environment.  We plan to continue to use the name 'MAVES' for any future natural environment work. 

    Partner organisations included Sussex Wildlife Trust and Arundel Agenda 21.

  • MAVES grew into Arun Countryside Trust, and following ACT's closure could revive in order to:

    Understand, conserve & enhance the environment and countryside of Arun
