• Disease-resistant Elms, and Limes

In January 2020, 20 ACT-MAVES volunteers working with the National Park Authority planted 40 disease resistant elm trees around Binsted to restore landscape features that older residents remember from more than 40 years ago.  These were from a number of different cultivar types and we will monitor over the years how they perform.

With them we planted 10 lime trees as some butterflies need both for different parts of their life cycle.
